    Arrive Istanbul, Turkiye

    Welcome to Istanbul, the bridge between east and west. Settle into your hotel for the next three nights, meet fellow travelers at a welcome briefing, then enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.

    Istanbul

    Visit Istanbul\'s most iconic sites: the 17th-century Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Hagia Sophia (UNESCO), and Topkapi Palace and Harem. This evening, enjoy an included dinner of Ottoman-inspired cuisine at a local restaurant. (B, D)

    Istanbul

    Istanbul – Izmir

    Fly to Izmir (ancient Smyrna), Turkiye\'s third most populous city. Explore the seafront promenade and enjoy a Diner\'s Choice included dinner at a local restaurant. (B, L, D)

    Izmir – Ancient Ephesus – Sirince – Izmir

    In-depth tour of Ancient Ephesus (UNESCO) including the Terrace Houses, Library of Celsus, Temple of Artemis ruins, and the Archeological Museum. Afternoon visit to charming hilltop village of Sirince. (B)

    Izmir – Pamukkale – Dalyan

    Learn about the nazar boncuk (evil eye) talisman craft. Visit Pamukkale (UNESCO) \'Cotton Castle\' thermal pools and Greco-Roman ruins via golf cart tour and local museum. Arrive in Dalyan for two nights at a family-run bed & breakfast. (B)

    Dalyan – Ancient Kaunos – Dalyan

    Tour ruins of Ancient Kaunos then take a relaxing river boat trip to the Mediterranean Sea, passing through marshland home to birds, fish, and turtles. Lunch at a local restaurant. Impact Moment: loggerhead turtle rescue and conservation center visit. (B, L)

    Dalyan – Burdur – Konya

    Full day following the ancient Silk Road trading route. Quick lunch stop in Burdur. Arrive Konya in the early evening; dinner included at the hotel. (B, L, D)

    Konya – Sultanhani Caravanserai – Cappadocia

    Visit the Mevlâna Museum, world center of the Whirling Dervishes in Konya. See Sultanhani Caravanserai, one of the largest surviving Silk Road caravanserai. Afternoon tour of an underground city in Cappadocia. Check into hotel for three nights. (B, D)

    Cappadocia

    Cappadocia

    Fly back to Istanbul. Visit the Grand Bazaar, one of the world\'s oldest and largest covered markets. Check into hotel; farewell dinner at a local restaurant. (B, D)
